When kids color cinderella figures that begin as white as snow.

There’s a breakfast restaurant where kids get crayons to color with while the food is on its way in Randolph.

And some of them become professional artists later on in life.

I will post two artistic images.

One is a collage of Cinderellas colored seen by hundred of diners each week

The ad collateral that comes after it is viewed by thousands of students and working commuters each day because its posted at the Park Station Red Line T stop to remind you about Boston’s Ski & Snowboard Expo that’s coming up.

The artistic quality of both pieces leans forward.

Boston collegeFest 2011 is over. Got some random thoughts to share.

Just in time for Boston Winter

The Aftermath

Music branding was a huge factor, I’ll bet!

Everybody goes to Boston Collegefest events for the freebies and to hook up and text message, then eat later.  Lol!

BlackBerry (RIM) sponsored this year’s Boston collegeFest

All in all, it was a good day. OccupyWallstreet planners were in town; weather was great. I ended up in Harvard Square eventually.

At Holyoke Center I stopped by my favorite pizza place…that rootsy joint on the right you’ll come across walking down the corridor.

Before I went there, I tried out the Clover Food Labs marquee restaurant for about the third time. Wanted to try something different and I did. At Clover, I picked on the $3 menu: the mushroom salad was a bit lame, the Apple Fritters were excellent, the Tofu BLT was lousy, the berry tea was awesome.
Clover experiments too much….  LOved that Pizza at Holyoke.

boston snow removal contract services

tow zone no parking

Boston snow removal contractors have it made. The city is hard to navigate during the snow season and residents who are used to contracting for snow removal services don’t     shop around that much.  If they did, they would find an assortment of quotes. Some snow removal companies do large jobs only.  You may see snow plowers roll up after completing a nearby assignment and quote a number to you for plowing your driveway. The Bostonsnowremoval.com web site is a referral network that connects with snow removers who have the wheels, the blades and the equipment to move snow out of the way. It has top placement ranking on Google so they must be doing something right.

But if I were you, I’d shop around, regardless. Bostonsnowman.com knows some snow removers. Many Boston area snow removers work in snow during the winter and in landscape design and road side maintenance during Spring and Summer. Landscapers have short 3 to 5 month windows for flower planting and maintenance. During the fall part of the season, landscapers who do trees, field cuts and leaves have plenty of work. Snow removers jump in and take a part of that too.

Boston Snow Fall 2009 quips and quotes

Boston Snow Man sample logo

Snow removal budgets in Worcester, Boston and probably in  New England towns and cities have exceeded the estimates  town officials entered when annual budgets were being decided.

The Metro Newspaper reported that Boston has exceeded its $12.5 million dollar snow removal plan and contractor’s budget in 2009 already.

The NECN television network added on more woe.  Complimented by Boston Globe reports that the Boston Public Schools may eliminate jobs and positions due to imposed budget cuts and other expenses, all that snow and ice we have had in Boston this year has remarkably been cleared on time and on schedule by city officials and their contract snow removal plows.

..” weather’s unpredictability leaves Boston, and all other municipalities, little choice but to plow, salt and shovel its way out”   said one official in charge of managing things in the City of Boston, reported the Metro.

But, all is not so bad when it snows in Boston.

Organizations embrace urban youth who try out their snow boarding skills.  And  when televised weather forecasters explained  tomorrow’s snowfall expectations  it hasn’t been so bad.

This is “a typical Boston winter” said a neighbor on her way with a shovel to pick away ice down at the corner.  It was thick and hard that her plan for  using her tool didn’t work that day.

I’ll bet the person who visited BostonSnowman.com on a Google Search for keyword “ski discount coupons” found something.

Yep, it was probably a good deal but I don’t know where they spent the money.

Ski in Boston

Most of us don’t pay a dime to slide down snow covered hills. Jamaica Plain’s Pond area has cool places for free sledding and open ski routes. Where do you go to have fun in Boston’s snow for FREE? Add a reply.

Sunday’s snow

It was Dec 3, 2006 and Boston’s first snow. Some were brave enough to drive!

Imagine that! Snow fell nine days before Christmas in 2007. The weather forecaster was right. The snow is falling again on the morning of  December 20th..
